Do Facial Exercises the Right Way
The skin on the face is the most prone to developing wrinkles and fine lines as the skin in this area constantly moves in similar directions. As we grow older, the skin loses its elasticity due to the slowing down of the production of collagen. These two factors work together in the formation of wrinkles and fine lines as well as sagging skin.
In our times today, there have been many ways developed as to how to get rid of wrinkles. But one downside to other methods is that it exposes you to different risks, as well as cost you some money. Facial exercises on the other hand, is a free and natural way of getting rid of wrinkles and slow down the effects of aging.
How does this exactly work you may ask. Similar to how bodybuilders and athletes have tight skin around their bodies, facial exercises uses the same concept. By increasing the muscle tone of your underlying muscles, it will pull harder on the skin, making it tighter thus eliminating the folding and sagging of the skin. The best way to do facial exercises is by moving and exercising your face in ways that it does not normally do. This way, the chances that wrinkles will form are reduced while also increasing the tone of your muscles at the same time.
Some ideas as to how to do these exercises is by pulling down on your eyelidswhile raising your eyebrows as high as you can. This helps eliminate wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. Be sure to do enough repetitions of this exercise, as well as hold each pose for a few seconds to fully benefit from this.
For the lips and cheek, you can try alternating the shape of your mouth into and O shape and smiling as hard as you can. This helps tone your cheeks and make your lips appear fuller. Pulling down on the cheeks while smiling and tilting the head back is also another variation of this exercise. As with the above exercise, hold each pose for a few seconds and do at least 10 repetitions.
By starting with these exercises as early as you can, you can prevent wrinkles from even forming in the first place.
