Weight Loss Miracle - Hypnosis Plus The Cabbage Soup Diet

Losing weight and keeping it off can be a challenging process; subsequently, most people are always looking for fast and easy ways to shed some pounds. The Cabbage Soup diet program is known to many dieters as a popular fad diet that offers an easy way to lose weight, but does it truly work? The diet plan is explained here, along with the keys to losing weight and keeping it off for good.

The Cabbage Soup diet calls for, as the name implies, consuming cabbage soup for a seven day period. During this time, dieters only consume cabbage soup and a few other foods to lose weight. The program is not a lifestyle changing plan like many popular diet plans, and requires no long-term lifestyle changes beyond the week-long duration of the diet regimen.

There are several different versions of the recipe for cabbage soup. Most contain seasonings, cabbage and other vegetables, such as onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, celery, and tomatoes. Some dieters like to add spices to enhance the taste of the soup. Other dieters concerned with sodium intake want to use a low-sodium recipe. Many recent versions of the diet incorporate sources of protein to make the eating program more balanced.

Besides cabbage soup, there are highly specific rules for which additional foods are permitted on each day of the plan. As a general guide, dieters can eat cabbage soup every day, plus fruit on day one, vegetables on day two, fruit and vegetables on day three, skim milk and bananas on day four, beef and tomatoes on day five, beef and vegetables on the sixth day, and vegetables, brown rice, and fruit juice on the seventh, final day. Those using the diet then switch back to normal eating habits, hopefully now a few pounds lighter.

Does the Cabbage Soup diet actually work for weight loss? Although no formal scientific research has examined the diet conclusively, dieters using the Cabbage Soup diet report varying success. For numerous dieters, the program resulted in weight loss (up to ten pounds, typically less), but only temporarily, as the pounds gradually returned as the dieter returned to normal meal plans. Some dieters experienced light-headedness, weakness, and lack of focus while following the Cabbage Soup diet. Other dieters experienced no effects at all, seeing no weight loss, but no illness either.

The Cabbage Soup diet is only one of many popular diets that dieters can try. However, because this plan may not produce results, for many overweight people it just adds to the difficulty of not being able to lose weight. A better method of dieting does not use gimmicks or quick-fix diet plans. It takes consistent efforts and lifelong commitments to achieve permanent weight loss goals. This means eating right and getting plenty of physical activity.

Unfortunately, many of us fight to keep up the habits necessary for weight loss. Lots of people cannot seem to lose weight because of their strong food cravings, out-of-control appetites or eating habits, or a lack of motivation.
